United States eSIM

The queue after US immigration is long enough. A United States eSIM is already on the phone when you walk out at JFK or LAX, so Uber and maps work before you find Wi-Fi.

What a tourist SIM costs you at a US airport

US networks are fine. The waste is the first hour: a kiosk, a prepaid counter, or a carrier store in arrivals.

A car from the terminal, not the information desk

Set the holiday.com line as mobile data after you land. Rideshare pins work in the arrivals hall. You are not hunting for a password on airport Wi-Fi.

No Verizon or AT&T tourist desk

Those counters sell plastic and take a slice of day one. An eSIM is a QR or a tap you do at home. Nothing to cut, nothing to return.

Tether the laptop in the hotel

Share the US line like any hotspot. Keep your home number for calls and texts. Data stays on holiday.com so the home carrier does not add roaming.

How a US plan gets onto the phone

You pay on portal.holiday.com. The profile installs in the browser — the app store is optional. How it works

1. Open United States plans

The button on this page opens checkout with the United States already selected. Choose a pass that matches how long you are in the country.

2. Pay once, in the browser

Apple Pay or a card. No account to create and nothing ships. You get a QR or a direct-install link as soon as payment clears.

3. Scan it on home Wi-Fi

Install before the flight. After you land, turn data roaming ON for holiday.com and OFF on the home SIM.

United States eSIM, in practice

Coverage notes and install basics. Device lists live on holiday.com if you want the full table.

Do I wait until I reach the United States to install?

No. Install on Wi-Fi at home. The plan attaches to a US network when you arrive and turn data roaming on for the holiday.com line.

Can people still call my usual number?

Yes, on a dual-SIM phone. Leave the physical SIM in for calls and texts. Use the United States eSIM for data so the home carrier does not bill US roaming.

Does this cover Hawaii and Alaska?

A United States country plan follows the coverage shown at checkout. Open the plan details on portal.holiday.com if the trip includes Hawaii or Alaska.

How do I know the phone accepts an eSIM?

It must be carrier-unlocked and show an EID when you dial *#06#. That EID sits next to the IMEI. See Compatible devices for the list we support.

Which line should have data roaming on?

Only holiday.com. Leave data roaming off on the home SIM or the home carrier will treat US usage as roaming.

What if I buy now and fly months later?

You have a year from purchase to start the plan. Starting on day 365 still gives you the full duration printed at checkout.

Put the US line on the phone before the jetway.

Pay on the portal, scan the QR at home, and open maps in the JFK or LAX arrivals hall.
